What Krea is

Krea is a general AI creative platform. One account gives you image models such as Krea 2, Nano Banana, Flux, Seedream and GPT Image, video models such as Veo, Kling and Seedance, and tools around them:

  • Generate: text to image, real-time generation as you type or draw, text to video, image to video and 3D.
  • Edit: an AI image editor, a background remover, and upscaling up to 22K on paid plans.
  • Customize: LoRA training on your own images, so a character, a style or a product stays the same.
  • Build: node-based workflows, an app builder and an agent that plans generations for you.

Krea has an iPhone and iPad app and an API. Its ecommerce page says you can apply apparel to consistent human models; you set that up yourself with prompts, reference images and, if you need it, a trained LoRA.

  • Rollover: on Basic, Pro and Max, units are given monthly and do not roll over. Business and Enterprise plans can roll units over.
  • More units: one-off compute packs, valid for 90 days.
  • Commercial license: included from Basic up, not on Free.
  • API: billed separately from a prepaid US-dollar balance, at a set price per model and request, for example GPT Image 2 from $0.009 an image and Nano Banana Pro from $0.15. Failed jobs are not billed.

What one image costs

Krea's cost per image depends on the model and its settings. Using Krea's own estimate for Nano Banana 2:

PlanPriceImagesCost per image
Krea Basic, monthly$9 a monthabout 64about $0.14
Krea Pro, monthly$35 a monthabout 257about $0.14
Krea Pro, yearly$252 a yearabout 3,084about $0.08
Photta Seller, monthly$29 a month100$0.29
Photta Studio, yearly$2,490 a year12,000$0.21

Per image, Krea costs less than Photta. The two images are made differently. A Krea image is one generation from your prompt and references, on the model you choose. A Photta studio photo is made from photos of your product, with the model, pose and scene you pick, and every plan includes free do-overs each month.

Who each one suits

Krea suits you if you want many image and video models in one place, you are happy to write prompts, you want to train a style or a character, or you need very large upscales for print.

Photta suits you if you sell products and want studio photos of them on models without writing prompts, you also sell jewelry or eyewear or need ghost mannequin shots, or you want an API or an app in your own language.

Try both on the same product

Krea's Free plan gives 100 units a day, without a commercial license. A new Photta account gets 20 credits, enough for 4 studio photos at 2K, with a watermark until you choose a plan.

Which Should You Choose?

If you want creative range, video and a choice of models, and you are happy to write prompts, Krea gives you more images for the money. Prices change, so check both pricing pages before you decide; this page was last checked on 30 September 2026.
