How Pomellato virtual try-on works
Pomellato has deployed web and app augmented reality ring try-on through a partnership with Kivisense. Shoppers visiting the Pomellato site or app can select a ring from the Nudo or Nuvola collection, tap Virtual Try-On, and see the piece on their finger in real time. Before trying it on, they can drag the ring to view it in 360 degrees with a full 3D effect.
Kivisense's real-time AR body tracking and AI finger circumference measurement ensure each ring is sized and positioned accurately on the shopper's hand, replicating the feel of trying it on in a boutique. Pomellato also runs the experience in-store through smart mirrors with HD AR displays.

The catch: it runs on a dedicated AR partner pipeline
Pomellato's try-on is built on Kivisense's AR platform, which requires per-product 3D asset creation, AI-based hand tracking calibration, and ongoing partner integration. The in-store smart mirror layer adds another layer of bespoke engineering.
An independent or growing jewelry store does not have the per-ring 3D modelling budget, the AR partner contract, or the engineering resources that this pipeline requires. The good news is that you do not need live AR to give your shoppers on-hand ring previews.
How to add the same try-on to your store
A hosted try-on widget brings the photo-in, worn-result-out experience to your own jewelry product pages, on the web, with no app and no code. Photta installs as a single tag:
The shopper taps Try it on, uploads a photo, and sees the ring, necklace, or earrings on themselves right in the browser. It covers jewelry and apparel, runs in 29 languages, deletes the shopper's photo after processing, and you manage and brand it from a dashboard.

Why it pays off for a jewelry store
Pomellato's AR try-on drives omnichannel revenue growth precisely because it removes the key hesitation in fine jewelry: not knowing how a piece looks when worn. Shoppers who see a ring on their finger are more confident and less likely to return.
For a store selling rings, necklaces, or earrings, the same confidence-building logic applies at every price point. The conversion lift from seeing it worn pays back a hosted widget far faster than the cost of the try-on itself.
