Footwear is technically harder than apparel: shoes wrap around the foot from multiple angles, ground contact and shadow must look natural, and foot pose changes how the shoe appears. We are building it with the same accuracy bar as our apparel try-on, which means taking the time to do it well rather than shipping a 'looks like a sticker on a foot' product.

Targeted for Q4 2026. We are in technical preview now with a small group of footwear brands. Waitlist members will be the first invited to try the GA release.

What does waitlist pricing-lock actually mean?

If we raise pricing on Photta plans before footwear launches, waitlist members can still subscribe at today's tier ($49 Starter / $149 Growth / $399 Enterprise) for the first year of footwear use. Worth a few dollars per month if you're certain you'll want footwear when it ships.

Can I use Photta now for my apparel SKUs while I wait?

Yes — and this is what most footwear brands do. Apparel try-on is mature, ships today, and works for any apparel-adjacent SKUs you sell (most footwear brands also sell apparel, hats, or socks).

What about competitors who claim shoe try-on?

Most existing 'shoe try-on' is either a flat sticker on the photo (not anatomically correct) or AR-based (requires the shopper to point a phone at their feet). Both have lower conversion lift than apparel try-on. We're building photo-based AI shoe rendering at the quality bar of our apparel work — that's a higher target than the current state of the art.

Shoppers will tap on your footwear product page and snap (or upload) a photo of their feet, ideally with the existing shoes off.

About 12 seconds later: the shoe appears on the shopper's actual feet, at the correct angle and ground contact.
